I started doing graffiti at a really young age, I think I was about 12 or 13. I really liked the idea of drawing on walls – it’s a great form of expression, so I started doing small bits of graffiti on the walls around my neighborhood with a small black spray can. At first I enjoyed drawing little characters and portraits of myself that conveyed different emotions.
As I got older I started meeting more graffiti artists who taught me lots of different techniques.
Like most artist I have had traditional college training and experience, I attended a couple of colleges; De Anza, and Chabot Community College. My experience in college has given me an appreciation of styles and techniques for traditional art, however, graffiti art has been my passion for most of my life. It is because of the successful blending of traditional art, my passion for graffiti art and my many years of practicing that enables me to work with all forms of mediums.
As I see it - everything in life relates to art. However, it was in 1998 that I met the biggest influence in my career, my idol and tattooing pioneer, Mike Giant, I've learned so much from him.
